Head of Shared Services (Senior Manager)

Fox Human Capital is supporting a multinational O&G infrastructure solutions company for a Head of Shared Services (Senior Manager) position. Office Location: Downtown Miami, FL.

Position Overview
We are seeking a Head of Shared Services (Senior Manager) to lead and establish a newly created Shared Services Center (SSC) in North America. This is a brand-new role, providing a unique opportunity to build and optimize operations from the ground up. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, broad experience across key business functions, and the ability to navigate complex financial and operational landscapes.

Key Responsibilities:
:: Strategic Leadership: Establish, structure, and optimize the Shared Services Center (SSC), ensuring efficiency, compliance, and scalability.
:: Team Management: Build and lead a high-performing team across multiple areas such as HR, Accounting, Tax, Finance, and Payroll.
:: Process Optimization: Implement best practices for streamlined operations, ensuring compliance with U.S. financial regulations and country-specific requirements (e.g., tax return deadlines).
:: Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the key liaison between corporate leadership, U.S. & Canadian teams, and the Brazilian team, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
:: Operational Excellence: Oversee finance, tax, and compliance functions, ensuring smooth operations without requiring deep technical expertise in each area.
:: Hiring & Talent Development: Recruit, develop, and manage direct reports across different SSC functions.
:: Business Expansion & Travel: Be available to travel across the U.S. and Canada as needed to oversee operations.

Key Qualifications
:: Proven experience in large U.S. corporations, preferably in SSC leadership roles.
:: A background in CFO, Controller, or Finance Leadership roles is a strong advantage.
:: Generalist profile – deep expertise in every function is not required, but a solid understanding of finance, HR, tax, and operational processes is essential.
:: Experience in building, structuring, and leading SSC operations.
:: Strong leadership skills – a natural leader who is firm, proactive, and challenge-driven.
:: Fluency in English and business proficiency in Portuguese (for communication with the Brazilian team).
:: Deep understanding of U.S. corporate culture and business operations.
:: Availability for business travel within the U.S. and Canada.
