Fox Human Capital is assisting a manufacturing company in their search for an Industrial Engineer I in Columbus, GA. This is a growing business with real career progression opportunities!

Responsibilities:
:: Project coordination responsibility of taking designs through the cross functional approval and change implementation from concept to production. Coordinate the efforts of drafters/designers, engineering technicians and machine shop personnel as required by assigned projects.
:: Analyze existing product lines and make changes to reduce the number or parts across multiple platforms.
:: Analyze existing product lines and make changes to simply construction and assembly
:: Provide advisory support to manufacturing operations such as machining, plastics processing, welding, brazing, assembly, material handling, concurrent work, and staging.
:: Work with design engineering to aid in the ease of manufacturing reducing labor hours from products
:: Prepare plans, process specifications and procedures, production aids and assembly fixtures, conduct MRP support studies, factory cost work standard development and assignments of similar complexity
:: Assign work to drafters and technicians, technical writers, engineering technicians and machine shop personnel as required
Requirements:
:: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
:: Strong mathematical and analytical skills required
:: Understanding of the practical application of engineering and industrial sciences
:: Able to work well with others both in and outside of the department
:: Possess good working knowledge of MS-Excel, 3D Modeling (SolidWorks, SolidEdge, Pro-E, etc…) AutoCAD, MS-PowerPoint and MS-Word
:: Basic working knowledge of the SAP environment, a plus.
:: Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
:: Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
:: Sense of ownership & urgency with projects and work assignments.
:: Design management experience in reviewing models, drawings, and Bills of Material a plus.
:: Experience working with sheet metal parts and plastics, a plus.
:: Experience automating processes in Excel or some programing language a plus
:: Six Sigma skills a plus
