Fox Human Capital US is assisting the world’s leading producer of eucalyptus pulp and one of Latin America’s largest paper producers, in the search for a Logistics Consultant in Houston, TX (hybrid).

*Must have a US work permit.

Responsibilities:

:: Working in a field-based role, stationed at contracted deep sea terminals (East Coast or Gulf Coast).
:: Guide cargo flow and product allocation from terminals in the USA to destination customer facilities.
::  Manage third party logistics operators for the optimal transportation of wood pulp, paper, and fluff.
:: Direct warehouse operations to ensure achievement of cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness objectives.
:: Interface with port operators, deep-sea terminal personnel, and logistics operators (truckload and rail carriers).
:: Promote the adherence of all safety and compliance guidelines, processes, and procedures.

Requirements:

::  Marine Terminal Operator, Port Manager, or Port Executive certification (similar certifications applicable).
::  5+ years’ experience in logistics, supply chain, operations, warehouse, and yard management, and/or inventory management.
::  Experienced and familiar with safety and compliance regulatory agencies, processes, and preventative measures regarding: HSE, OSHA, HAZMAT, MSDS documents, etc.
::  Experience working with labor unions (ILA preferred) and port operators.
:: TWIC card or able to obtain TWIC card within 30 days of employment
::  Intermediate to Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
::  Ability to travel overnight to visit various deep-sea terminals (driver’s license and personal vehicle required). This may include weekends, holidays, and during times that are outside of typical business hours.
::   Must be able to work in an industrial environment (stand for long periods of time in varying temperatures, weather events, and loud environments).
:: Ability to work in both a warehouse and industrial type environment in addition to an office environment from time to time.
:: Must remain in compliance with all port and deep-sea terminal safety guidelines and procedures (PPE required).
