Fox Human Capital US is assisting an international technology and mechanical engineering group that specializes in lifting equipment and solutions across various sectors in the search for a Purchasing Manager to support their manufacturing facility in Trenton, NJ.
Responsibilities:
:: Manage the Purchasing department and its activities, perform analysis, and ensure that all KPIs are maintained, and goals are met.
:: Work closely with all teams to ensure proper support is provided.
:: Create strategies for long lead-times materials/vendors.
:: Lead and support inventory reduction activities.
:: Establish and manage planning strategies for purchasing based on data analysis of parts consumption to support the optimization of safety stocks, inventory in-house, inventory in-transit, and inventory position.
:: Lead negative inventory analysis, identify the root cause and set an action plan.
:: Calculate and update Safety Stock, Reorder Points & Lot Sizes.
:: 4+ years of purchasing experience with at least 2 years in a leading role.
:: 4+ years of ERP and MRP experience, with ERP Sage being a plus.
APICS certification (preferred).
:: Knowledge of the correct Incoterms for international purchasing and transportation topics.
:: Strong knowledge of supply chain management.
:: Experience developing effective inventory management policies.
:: Prior experience in manufacturing, supply chain management, or a related field.
:: Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access), with SQL and VBA experience preferred.
